Full Singing Success Program - Is it Worth it for Singers?

The full Singing Success program consists of a DVD, CDs and a workbook. It is a comprehensive program if you want to learn singing from home. I discuss some main aspects of the program.

Brett Manning's program is similar to the speech level singing technique that many famous singers have used to get a lot better. His program teaches you singing techniques to get a wider vocal range with less effort by properly utilizing your body for maximum range. It's a very comfortable way to learn to sing.

Some people would argue you can't sing rock or other loud music using this technique, but he intends to prove that assumption wrong in his lessons with some of his famous students.

When asking about the full Singing Success program, people compare it to some of Manning's individual products geared towards vocal workouts, vibrato and other specific components of singing.

This complete version does touch upon his other individual products highlights and incorporated them into the large version. It's an overall good program for beginners or more experienced singers.

Usually when you see testimonials by people who bought the product, you are a little skeptical, but I paid attention to some of the singing celebrity testimonials from Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and others because I don't think they get paid by Brett Manning's company.

That's one of the reasons the entire learn to sing program is respected amongst the other at home learn singing programs. He has some star power backing up his system's credentials.

The DVD shows an interview with Brett while he discusses some of the typical mistakes singers make and how to overcome them with specific singing techniques. The CDs are guided lessons he does with some of his students and they are ones you can follow along with.

Overall, it's a quality program and that's why it's a little more expensive than some of its competitors. If you're looking for something comprehensive, you could get the full Singing Success program.

Singing Lessons on CD - Which Singing CDs Get You Better?

If you want singing lessons on CD there are few things you should make note of....Some are better than others and I'll discuss why.

First, some people just need a vocal coach. I know a lot of singing coaches who have given the student great lessons they can take with them for the rest of their lives and learn on their own. But what happens? They end up finishing their curriculum with the vocal coach and they don't have the discipline to continue on their own. If this sounds like you, then a singing coach may be your only answer.

A CD can help because you can take it anywhere. You could decide to practice singing in your own car when you go to or leave work. I've done this for years and it's helped me a lot. Instead of having to pay an expensive vocal coach for many lessons, I just take my lessons on the road. Some people are better at learning this way and some are not.

In addition, its' a lot less expensive if you can find a way to learn singing on your own with courses or online help. Rarely do I see singers getting their full money how of singing lessons because they don't end up following the teacher's advice completely. So there's just flexibility in learning some of these things on your own after you've had some initial lessons.

Is a Vocal Coach Better than a CD?

I do thing just a few lessons with a coach can be a good idea in the beginning. It helped me tremendously because honestly I was kind of clueless when I started singing. I didn't even realize I was singing from my lungs, which is totally incorrect and it didn't give me near the volume I wanted, which I got easily when I finally started singing from the diaphragm. After these initial lessons, you could continue improving with singing lessons on CD.

Beginner Singing Lessons Software

Beginner singing lessons software is needed for who? You can find out here.

Just like anything, I always make sure to seek others, who have used something before I consider buying it. There are a couple of good learn singing guides you can download now, which eliminate the need for expensive vocal coaches. For me, singing lessons got expensive and I felt like I didn't need them anymore to just review what we already learned.

With a decent beginner singing lessons software program, you don't have to learn something one week with a teacher and then pay them again to review your progress and go over the same stuff.

I can usually hear my own progress as a singer or I can record myself to hear the progress. With a decent instruction program, they will have recording software and ways to play back what you just practiced into the mic. There are also ways to improve with singing games, which come with some programs. This might suit some aspiring singers more than hiring expensive vocal coaches.

Don't get me wrong, some vocal coaches are absolutely fantastic, but who can afford them on a weekly basis? I sure couldn't as an aspiring musician with a decent pay check coming from my day job. That's why some teachers will even tell you they're finished with you after you have four or five lessons. This is admirable when teachers do this because they could keep trying to milk you for more money.

So beginner singing lessons software is crucial for typical beginners who have no experience. You can learn more about singing with other avenues too.

A Technique to Increase Vocal Range

A technique to increase vocal range is something many singers desire. There are several things you can do to help expand your range. I'll talk about a couple of techniques below.

Do you know what your soft palate is? If you can learn to your soft palate raised in the back of your throat, you will be increasing your range in no time. That's because you are actually letting more air flow out when you open up your throat more. If you look in the mirror, you can see that soft skin in the very back of the throat and how you can open it up.

Another technique to increase vocal range is controlling the larynx. The larynx often moves up and down when singing and this is a hard habit to break. We need to learn how to keep it totally still if we want to get better at expanding our range.

Again, you can look in the mirror and see your larynx move up and down with your Adam's apple when you sing different notes. It needs to be kept totally still when singing because this enables you to use all of your vocal chords as opposed to only using a few limiting your range.

People easily increase their range a whole octave or more when they learn helpful techniques. I was amazed how much better my singing got when I just learned some simple breathing and how to open up my throat by following a teacher's lessons. There are all kinds of lessons that can help you develop range.

Of course, some are better than others. Relaxation is key though. When we learn to relax the throat and body while singing, we increase range and volume with very little effort. That's a really good feeling. I hope you find a good technique to increase vocal range and continue to improve your singing.
